Why do I have to register to use the forums?

So OPS and other people know how to contact you, and to discourage spammers. It is a sad fact that an endless stream of people try to gain access to this and other forums using non-existent email addresses and false names. Contact details are therefore checked as part of the registration process. The IP addresses of those who use false information are recorded.

Can I post anything I like on the forums?

Provided it is related to photography and conforms with the forum rules stated under "Rules" in the forum section.

What happens if I post something which breaks the rules?

It will be deleted.
