Master Photographers Association - LMPA
Applications for Licentiateship of the Master Photographers Association (LMPA) are made as follows:
● Wedding - applications must consist of ten prints from a single wedding, and an additional ten prints from a variety of commissioned work. It is important to submit a wide variety of work including bridal portraits, groups, register-signing shots etc.
● Portrait - applications in this category must consist of five prints from each of two portrait sessions, and an additional ten portraits showing a variety of studio, location or environmental commissions.
● Commercial and industrial - applications must consist of twenty prints or transparencies showing a variety of commissioned work. Supporting notes, descriptions, and clients' briefs are important.
● Social - applications must consist of five prints from a single wedding, an additional five wedding prints, five portraits from a single session, and an additional five portraits. The submission must be 50% wedding and 50% portrait.
● General practice - applicants must submit a total of twenty prints: five from each of three distinct categories (wedding, portrait and commercial), and an additional five.
● Press and PR - applicants must submit twenty prints showing a variety of work. Supporting notes, descriptions and briefs are required.
● Fashion, illustrative and pictorial - applicants must submit twenty prints showing a variety of work. Supporting notes, descriptions and briefs are required.
