For the Licentiateship of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (LSWPP), applicants must present evidence of competence in wedding or portrait photography. They must submit a panel of 15 mounted prints of 10" x 8" to 20" x 16" size, from various weddings or portrait commissions, showing competence in style, technique and presentation. Submissions must include either wedding or portrait images from at least 5 separate commissions. Mixed wedding and portrait panels are not accepted. All prints must be of a uniform size, and either flush or window mounted.
For the Licentiateship of the British Professional Photographers Associates (LBPPA), applicants must present evidence of their competence in photography. They must submit a panel of 15 mounted prints of 10"x 8" to 20" x 16" size taken from subject matter of the individual's choice, and which demonstrate competence in style, technique and presentation. All prints must be of a uniform size and either flush or window mounted.
The digital Licentiateship (DLBPPA) is separate from other Licentiate qualifications. Successful applicants may progress only to the digital Associateship (DABPPA) and cannot apply for ABPPA. An application is made by completing a set of prescribed tasks using briefs and files provided by the qualifications committee as well as personal work which may utilise the camerawork of other photographers. The Licentiateship is intended to demonstrate a level of competence in digital manipulation and output.
