FAQ - General
Why does OPS charge for some services? |
Because we have to pay for the upkeep of the website. Use of the the Society's facilities is generally free and unrestricted. We only charge minimal amounts for a few services just to keep the finances ticking over. |
Who profits from OPS? |
OPS is a non-profit-making organisation. All income is ploughed back in to the running of the Society. |
Does it make sense to discuss prints and projected images when OPS can only display them on a computer screen? |
It may not be possible to fully represent the subtleties of textured art papers or the translucence of projected transparencies, but it is amazing what can be achieved. In any case, OPS believes that the opportunity to discuss such images with other photographers on-line is extremely valuable. |
