Two types of advertisement can be placed on the Society's website. These are small text-based front-page adverts and classified adverts displayed in the most appropriate category in the classified section.

Front-page adverts are available on a monthly or yearly basis, and can be purchased through the Society's shop. Rates are usually lower, measured on a per-month basis, when adverts are purchased for a minimum period of one year. They are normally limited to a few words of text and include a link to an appropriate website. These are seen by a large number of people. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . The Society reserves the right to refuse publication of material or links considered inappropriate. Publication will not take place until full payment has been made through the Society's shop.

Classified adverts may appear only in the most appropriate section of the classified pages. The principal categories can be seen by clicking the "Classified" link at the top of the front page. The best way to create a classified advertisement is to register on the OPS site and then log in to the classified area. Registered users can then create advertisements in any of the categories offered. Please do not create advertisements that are not appropriate to the chosen category as these will be moved, edited, blocked or removed by the Society. Payment must be made through Paypal before an advertisement can be published. Alternatively, text-based material and images for proposed adverts can  be This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , where an administrator will create the advert on your behalf. Payment must then be made through the on-line shop using cedit card or Paypal. The Society reserves the right to refuse publication of material or links considered inappropriate. Each classified advert may include a variety of information appropriate to the chosen classified category, and up to three images. A Google map can also be published within each advertisement showing the precise location of a particular business. Images larger than 400 pixels (width or height) will be resized for publication. Image files may not exceed 100,000KB.

Classified advertisements are available on an annual basis only (366 days).  During the twelve-month period, an advert may be updated or edited in any appropriate manner. However, please note that updated advertisements will be reviewed by the Society prior to publication. It is also possible, at a small additional cost, to highlight a particular advertisement. This brings the advert into the rotating top three of the relevant list for a period of 100 days or up to the expiry date.

The advertisement activation service allows organizations placing multiple adverts to pay for them with a single payment via Paypal. Multiple advertisements placed by the same registered account holder attract the following discounts:

• 1 advert - 0%
• 2 - 4 adverts - 10%
• 5 - 9 adverts - 20%
• 10 adverts or more - 30%.
