Many plant photographers concentrate all their interest and efforts on the glory of colourful blooms at their magnificent best, and this is quite understandable. However, there a somewhat less obvious subjects available as plants germinate, begin growing, produce buds and then wilt and die. Some specimens and seeds may be wonderfully photogenic even after they have died, dried up or decomposed. Documenting the stages of a plant's lifecycle can make an interesting project.
