Terms and conditions are merely a standard statement of how wedding photography is undertaken, and of what happens under a variety of possible circumstances. For instance, the statement might include details of the action that might be taken in the event of inclement weather, camera failure, or the inability of the photographer to photograph the wedding. The statement might also address how disputes will be resolved, and the limits of the photographer's liabilities under various circumstances.

Every wedding photographer has different terms and conditions, and some have no written statement. However, it is probably fair to say that a typical statement might contain the following headings:

  • Payment;
  • Cancellation;
  • Requested Photographs;
  • Extent of Coverage;
  • Potential Problems on the Day;
  • Images compromised by Blinking;
  • Copyright;
  • Liability;
  • Durability;
  • Returns; and
  • Reproduction.
